Black Rock Mountain

Saturday morning we got up bright and early to drive up to North Georgia to go hiking in Black Rock Mountain State Park. The drive was beautiful with all the fall leaves and we even stopped at Tallulah Gorge to look out over the cliffs. When we got to Black Rock Mtn. we picked up a map and headed out on the Tennessee Rock Trail. The going was easy (we were mostly going down) but we quickly realized the trip back up the mountain was going to be a doozey! Everything was beautiful....the leaves everywhere, the 100s of Rhododendron plants everywhere, the small streams to the lake we rested at for lunch. It was a great...until we started going up the mountain...man that was hard! Today my legs are aching in places I didn't know they could ache!! It was all worth it though...Eric and I had a great time getting away together and enjoying the outdoors! Here are some of my fav pics from the day...

Those pictures look really familiar! My friend Ben and I used to go up there while we were in undergrad at Piedmont College to hang out and talk about stuff going on in our lives. Then on the way home we would drive by and yell at all the tourists to "GO HOME!!!" (he was from there) Good times!
