Why I love my cats #2
I love my cats a lot (maybe too much)...but they are part of our family so what can I say? One thing I love that my cats do is they are always sitting in the window when we come home from work or school or where ever we may have gone to. When we pull up we see them welcoming us home and then they always greet us at the door (I think it is because they want food). But it is nice to see they are excited to see us. Even when we are home they love looking out the windows to see what going on in the outside world. Like watching the squirrels run around looking for acorns, or the birds looking for worms, or the neighbor cats who are all too lucky to be outside. They love their windows!

Southern Slang
So I have lived in the South for a little over 2 years now and I have picked up a little bit of an accent (according to my friends from MN) but I have not picked up on the Southern Slang. Southern Slang, as I call it, are words or phrases that people use down here that I had NEVER heard of before moving here. For instance... when you go to the grocery store what do you put your groceries in? I call it a Cart... people here call it a Buggy. :)
Another thing people down here say are quirky little sayings like..."That dog don't hunt." These always make me laugh.
My favourite saying though is... "Bless your heart!" This is commonly used when someone is having a bad day...you say in response to their sorrows "Bless your heart!" or even can be used to make up for something negative you say like...."That girl is a witch! Bless her heart..." It is a very versatile saying but unfortunately (or fortunately) I have not picked up on it or any of the other slang. :) I guess I need to live down here longer!!

FALL!!!
Fall is my favorite time of year....It is just too beautiful out side with the leaves changing and the weather is just perfect! Eric and I also got married in the fall and it always brings back great memories of fun fall activities. Last fall, I went to MN for my friend Kristen's wedding (Her and Chad have their 1 year anniversary this weekend! Happy anniversary!!!) and our friend Adam's wedding (Happy anniversary to you too!). Also last Fall my grandma and mom also visited us and we went to Burts Pumpkin Farm in North Georgia. We are going again at the end of the month...so stay tuned for pictures from this year.
