So...Saturday was my 25th Birthday (I am a 1/4 of a century old!!) and I had a fabulous day with my hubby, Eric! We went to the Flower Man (aka GrowersOutletLLC.com)and bought a TON of flowers for very little money...then we went home and planted them before it rained...but it never rained so we had a great time out in the sun working on the garden and doing a little yard maintenance! Saturday night Eric made dinner for me. He made a Penne pasta with panchetta (YUM!!). He did a great job and it was nice to be pampered!
Tonight we went out with some Friends to Casa Mia for my birthday and it was SO much fun! Eric and I split a pitcher of mojitos (surprisingly it didn't affect us too much) and ate some GREAT food! Here are some pictures from the night...
The girls...Melissa, Katie, Me, Missy & Vi
The boys...Eric, Matt, Jason, Anthony
Vi eating chocolate cake...YUM!
Me & Eric...
And finally the silver butterfly...Melissa gave this to me as a birthday gift (isn't she wonderful...) and she got it from her cousin to wear with her aqua bridesmaid dress...yes I said aqua....ANYWAYS...we all decided that it would get passed around as the birthday bling...so who is the next lucky birthday girl?? :)

Small town USA
My friend Melissa invited me to go with her to Greensboro, GA...she had to do some life-style shoots for this magazine that hired her to take some pics for them. (Side note: Melissa is an AMAZING photographer, she does great wedding pics, family pics, whatever you want! And I am not just saying that because she is my friend...check out her website! www.melissapepin.com)So we go to Greensboro for the Spring Jubilee and we see a whole lot of Country! The best part was the 4H Club section where they had a little petting zoo...and they had these CUTE baby chickens! Unfortunately for the chicks there was a display board right next to them with chicken recipes on it!!! We got a laugh out of that one!
So here is a picture of me and Melissa and me and a chick...courtesy, of course, by Melissa Pepin Photography :)

Jury Duty!!
So about 2 weeks ago I got a summons in the mail to serve as a juror! Today I went and sat through the jury selection...not thinking there was ANY way they would choose me...but of course... the did!! So now I get to get out of work for a few days and get free lunch...not bad hu?
I have to say though today was very cool seeing the judicial process at work. It is very interesting in learning about how it all works and I am proud to be able to be a part of it! I cant wait to learn more...hopefully the case will be interesting...but of course I wont be able to share it with you all...SORRY!

I haven't seen them since October, but it feels like years! They moved to the Philippines to work in an orphanage there (http://web.mac.com/djandrach/iWeb/Bayanihan/Welcome.html). There was a nice note in there from them and some dried mango...this is one of my all time favorites! Dried mango!!! SOOOO yummy! I cant get enough of it!! So here is a picture of the bag that I ripped open right away and me enjoying my mango :) ha ha

Gardening!!!
So I LOVE to garden! It is one of may favorite things to do and I have been itching to start up again all winter. Well the time has come to start! Eric and I started a new shade garden to the side of our house last summer. A few weeks ago we put in some Azaleas, elephant ear, hostas, buggleweed, and lenten rose...
Today I added a few things and wanted to show you what else is going on in our garden...Here is our house and the Azaleas that are in front of it....
We have some returning growth in one of our gardens and I am super excited! I think my gnome has something to do with it....
This year I am trying to grow some flowers from seed...which is going ok. Here is my first batch...Impatiens:
Here is a picture of our back yard...we are lucky to have some wild dogwoods growing as well!

Tucker Plantation
Last night Eric and I helped out at a fundraiser for Mercy Clinic (mercyhealthcenter.net they provide health care for people that can not afford it for FREE!) at Tucker Plantation (www.tuckerplantation.com Which was once owned by Kenny Rogers!!). It was such a blast! Eric and I helped by cleaning up after all the wealthy people but it was still fun! They had a silent auction, cotton candy (YUM!), sheep and a calf that was super cute! I had to go over the the cow about every 10 min because the cute thing would try and lick your hand or even suck on your thumb...I know some people would think that is gross...but I LOVED it! I think I need to have a hobby farm some day. Anyways....sorry I don't have any pictures to share, but check out the websites!

New beginnings !
So I haven't been faithful with my blog lately...and I pretty much have only been blogging about PartyLite stuff....so I am going to change that here and now!
Last week my hubby and I took some time for a nice walk at the botanical gardens and I brought my camera to take pictures of all the beautiful flowers and there weren't that many, but I still think I got a few good pictures. Here are some of my favorites...
