So I am going to my cousin-in-laws wedding on July 26th at 4:26pm (yes I said 4:26 :) and it is in a small town. I found this dress at Macy's on Memorial Day so the price was significantly reduced...but I am still not 100% sold on it....what do you think??

Knoxville
This weekend we made a very quick trip up to Knoxville, TN. Eric's cousin Blaine was competing there for Destination Imagination. I had never heard of it, but apparently it is the same as Odyssey of the Mind. We didn't get to see Blaine compete, but we did spend some quality time with her and her parents, Duane & Kate. We figured we had not seen each other for about 2 years!! Here are some pictures from our trip...

Crazy Cat Lady?
I have two beautiful cats that I love very much. They are so much fun to have around the house! I thought I should introduce them to ya'll so you could get to know them a little better :)
This is Rainy:
Rainy is a female tabby cat that would do well by loosing a couple of lbs. :) Rainy was named after Rainy Lake where Eric (my husband) grew up in International Falls MN. Rainy likes to sleep, eat, play with our other cat, sleep on your lap, and chase your feet when they are under the covers. She also enjoys relaxing on the couch where she can look out the window. Rainy isn't very needy unless it comes to her food...she will beg for it all night and day!
This is Heidegger:
Heidegger is Rainy's brother and has been named after a Philosopher (my husband is in the PHD program at UGA for philosophy). Heidegger is long and lean, unlike his sis, and it very needy some times. He loves getting attention and when he doesn't get enough he will let you know! Heidegger enjoys lounging around, chasing his sis around the house, and sleeping.

What do you think??
So last year my two friends Melissa and Katie went with me to Minnesota for a long weekend trip. We had a great time....BUT while we were there they discovered something very embarrassing about me :) I am an only child so of course there are pictures of me EVERYWHERE at my parents house. I don't mind it too much, but ever since our trip in August, Melissa and Katie have given me a hard time for one picture that hangs in my parents entry way. It is from when I was about 5 years old so that places us in the time of the good old 80's. Needless to say, the picture is VERY out dated and we need a new one. It is also MASSIVE! I would say about 4 feet by 6 feet. So you cant miss it....Anyways, I figured I would let the world see this picture since so many of you have heard the story. :)
Here you go!!! What do you think??

My trip to MN
Well, I am back after a VERY quick trip. I had just enough time to spend with my parents and their dog Cody, my mother-in-law Becky, and two of my closes friends Jason and Jenessa. It was a great trip and I was excited to be in MN, but of course too short! I flew in very late on Tuesday, woke up early on Wednesday to take my dad to work so I could have a car, then I went back to bed :) I got up and lounged around for a bit, then I had to get ready for my deposition. I drove to Saint Paul gave my deposition and then picked my dad up from work. I had dinner with my parents then it was back to Saint Paul to have dessert with Jenessa & Jason. We went to this great place called Cafe Late. I had a fruit tart and a white chocolate mocha...YUM! Then Jason had a craving for beer and nachos :) So we went to the Green Mill to indulge his cravings :) Thursday I got up early to head to the Minneapolis farmers market. It is probably one of my top 5 things I miss about MN. I went to the market looking to buy some bratwursts. They are the best brats in town and I wanted to take some back to Ga. Unfortunately, the man who sells them only is at the market on the weekends....so I drove all the way to Minneapolis during rush hour traffic for nothing. :) There were some people there selling flowers so I took some pictures and headed back to my parents house to go shopping with my mom. I had to take advantage of the no sales tax on shoes and clothing while in MN!! We met up with Becky for lunch, did a little more shopping, and then went home to pack!

Minnesota here I come!!!!
So I am off to Minnesota today for a quick trip home. I fly in to Minneapolis tonight at 12:30am and then leave Minneapolis on Thursday at 7:00pm. Enough time to see family, but hardly any time to do the things I really want to do and not enough time to see all my friends. The good thing about this trip is that is has been 100% paid for by some layers office in MN, bad news is I am flying home to give my deposition for a civil court case. I was a passenger in a car accident SEVEN years ago and now the other person in the accident is suing my friend who was driving that day. I am not looking forward to talking about this accident, as it brings back bad memories, but I am excited to see my family and spend 2 short days in MN. I will post some pictures from my trip when I get back! For now here is a pic of my hometown...

Concerts on the Lawn
Every summer there is a B&B here in Athens that puts on a series of concerts in their massive and beautiful backyard! Fortunately for me, these concerts are sponsored by my employer so I can get free tickets!! Last year we only went to one concert, but we had a GREAT time! So the first concert this year was a Beatles cover band called Abby Road and once again we had a lot of fun! We pack a picnic dinner and meet up with some friends to sit in a beautiful garden and listen to good music. Here are some pictures from our night...I cant wait for the next one!:)
